Man, I was going along just fine…and then my internet died! I was busy typing up an ‘EoD’ thought on my iPhone, and just as I finished it, the net came back. Quite a frustrating way to end the night, but at least all ended well! You guys enjoy the rest of your night/morning, and I’ll catch you in a few, short hours.

This week brought a pretty interesting bit of information pertaining to Netflix. We know that the Wii is finally going to see the service made available, and plenty of people are excited about that. It may be the last console to get into the Netflix fun, but it does have the potential for the biggest impact. While that remains to be seen, now we’re hearing that the Wii isn’t Nintendo’s only platform that could get some Netflix love.

As I’m sure you’ve read here earlier, a Netflix survey asked about the potential for their service running on the DS. Could you imagine if that really happened? The power of Netflix in your pocket…or slightly out of your pocket if you’re going to be a DSi XL owner. Either way, having Netflix on the go via your portable gaming device of choice is a pretty big deal. Of course, this survey doesn’t mean that Netflix on the DS is a done deal. As of right now, it’s just an idea being shopped around.

I have a simple question for you guys. Is Netflix something you could see yourself using on the DS? If you’re on the road a lot, I think this sort of feature could be a huge deal. A little travel buddy that’s packed with all sorts of gaming fun…or some films if you choose. Leave a comment and let us know what you think of this possible outcome.

Here’s a bit of a shocking statistic for you. The average game of Madden 10 takes up about 63 minutes of real-time. Do you know how much of that time players actually spend playing football? A mere 17 minutes of that total play time. That means for 46 minutes, you’re setting up plays and running your way through various menus. EA clearly sees that this is an issue, which is why they’re pledging to make Madden 11 a much more streamlined experience. Expect solutions for skipping through information, an easier way to skim through the playbook, and much more.

Here’s the thing about this big Infinity Ward/Activision situation. There’s no one in the game industry by Activision higher-ups, as well as West and Zampella. You better believe that these guys aren’t going to publicly talk about their situation until the litigation is long over. Hell, they might not even talk about it then. That leaves us with countless articles that pool the little info we do know, and then a personal spin is thrown in. I think you guys all know the story by now, but if you need a refresher, hit up the link below.

EA Sports is constantly watching you guys. They quite simply can’t get enough of what you’re doing with their games. EA wants to make the best game possible, and they feel that that can only happen if they listen to the players. In what ways does EA do that? They track data from all the online games you play, every move you make, and how you react to their games in online forums. Any little piece of data they can grab is thrown into the mix, and hopefully it equals a better gameplay experience next time around. This almost insurmountable collection of data is EA’s path to perfection.
