A feature on Mario's Super Inferno (Super Mario Galaxy 2) from Games Radar: Screw the haters! The Dante's Inferno Super Bowl ad was the greatest marketing move of all time. Of course, most of that had to do with the sweet serenade provided by Soul Deity, Bill Withers! So why the hell wouldn’t it work for Mario? ... Go to Source ...

A feature on Game music of the day: Donkey Kong Country 2 (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest) from Games Radar: Welcome to VGMpire, GamesRadar's daily blast of all things pertaining to the ever-growing field of game music. A feature on Gaming's famous moustached men: shaved (Super Mario Galaxy) from Games Radar: What links all great men through history? The insatiable pursuit of power? An unwillingness to compromise? Snappy dress sense? Nah, it’s a good old tache, of course. Inspired by the recent clean shaven antics of Final Fantasy big cheese Hironobu Sakaguchi and Adolf Hitler, we’ve decided to shave the soup strainers off some of our favourite games characters.Warning: the following images may shock and appal ... A feature on Zelda cosplay goes high fashion (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Virtual Console) from Games Radar: Sometimes cosplay can be embarassing and degrading to the person involved. Thcostume is a pale imitation, their 'helmet' is made out of tinfoil and teaspoons, their make up drawn on by a blindfolded gibbon. But not always. Some cosplay is incredible. It's like a game character has crawled out of the TV screen and inhabited the REAL WORLD.  Like this downright classy, high-fashion Zelda cosplay... ... Go to Source ...

A feature on TV ads that steal from games (Super Mario Galaxy) from Games Radar: So there we are on a Tuesday evening, watching the TV, when the commercial break comes on. Advert for Insurance. Advert for baby milk. Advert for some shit movie we're never going to watch. Advert for cheaper gas. Advert for... hang on a sec. That advert for gas was a rip off of the Super Mario Galaxy planets! That's what started it off. And now we've spotted a bunch of other ads which robbed from games. ... Go to Source ...

A little bit of a screw-up on the Wii Shop Channel in Europe may be pointing to a release due out this Friday.

Rumor has it that the Wii Shop Channel has an image that is incorrect. Under the listing of new titles is Icarian: Kindred Spirit. The thing is, the image shown is for Puzzle Bobble and not Icarian. Looks like someone may have updated the channel a bit too early! Thanks to KnucklesSonic for the heads up.

This one is a little old, but it stayed off my radar while I was working/traveling for E3. It just hit me now, so my apologies for the late finding.

Daemon Hatfield used to work on IGN’s Nintendo Channel. There were quite a few people that had issues with the way he approached/discussed/reviewed games on the Wii. Mr. Hatfield no longer works on the Nintendo Channel, but is still a part of IGN.

Now that he’s off the Channel and onto something different, he let’s loose with some opinions concerning the Wii. This conversation from the GameScoop podcast includes Hilary Goldstein and Levi Buchanan. You can download the show here and have a listen for yourself.

@42:50

Levi: But if you’re a Nintendo fan, how could you have been unhappy that morning.

Daemon: Because the Wii is stupid, Levi. No, because any games that are coming out for the Wii are going to be dumb.

Hilary: The truth comes out now that he’s not on Nintendo.

Daemon: Yeah, the Wii is stupid. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be another great game that should be controlled with dual analog sticks.

@ 43:25

Quote:
Hilary: The problem with me for Nintendo Conference is that no matter how awesome the game is that they announce, the fact of the matter is that I don’t even really care to hook up my Wii anymore. It’s been unhooked since Mario Galaxy came out, and I don’t really find anything that interests me in playing it anymore.

Daemon: I know. Like even when they make a great game like Mario Galaxy I don’t want to hold the Wii remote. It’s stupid.

As you can see from the image above, yet another Netflix survey involving hte Wii has come out. This time there is a big difference though. The new survey says that the Netflix streaming disc will be free, instead of . Sounds like the Netflix people got a good response out of the first survey, and now they’re trying to hone in on what would make the deal even better.
