Go Nintendo posted: Man, I was going along just fine…and then my internet died! I was busy typing up an ‘EoD’ thought on my iPhone, and just as I finished it, the net came back. Quite a frustrating way to end the night, but at least all ended well! You guys enjoy the rest of your night/morning, and I’ll catch you in a few, short hours. This week brought a pretty interesting bit of information pertaining to Netflix. We know that the Wii is finally going to see the service made available, and plenty of people are excited about that. It may be the last console to g...

Go Nintendo posted: Did you know that Logorama took home an Oscar for best animated short? We actually featured Logorama on the site, as it included a few nods to game industry developers/publishers. Now the creators of Logorama, Francois Alaux and Herve de Crecy, have signed on to put together a 20 minute short for the Ghost Recon series, which will promote Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. This particular short is going to serve as a prequel to the game, and it’s costing Ubisoft upwards of $10 million. I guess Oscar winners don’t come cheap! Link Go to Source ...

Go Nintendo posted: “THQ went through a lot of pain and restructuring - they took a lot of bullets so we could continue to make our game, and that’s a good indication of their faith in us, and their drive to make great-quality products.” - David Adams, Vigil Games THQ seems to be doing a lot of things right lately, and their business is heading in a good direction. Perhaps I shouldn’t jinx them. I remember saying that things were going well for Majesco, and now they’re in danger of NASDAQ delisting once again. Link Go to Source ...

Personally I am still perfectly happy with my Nintendo DS Lite, but I can see how the DSi would appeal to another customers because of the DSiWare service. However, some argue, like in the following Platform Nation article, that the removal of the Gameboy Advance slot puts the new design at at major disadvantage. There certainly are a lot of great titles on the GBA…what do you guys think?

GameStop had already promised a T-shirt and art booklet as a bonus for pre-ordering the Metroid Prime Trilogy, which releases at the end of August. Well now they’ve added a Metroid Prime poster (above) as an additional item to customers that order online. I’m not really a “pre-order person”, but I do love free stuff. And this is a lot of free stuff!

A portion of a Destructoid review:

You wouldn’t think that a golf video game would be a good platform to show off new gaming technology, but it turns out that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is a perfect showcase for Nintendo’s WiiMotion Plus, so much so that the device comes packed in the box.

Score: 9 – Superb

Silver Star Reversi:

It’s difficult to recommend Silver Star Reversi wholeheartedly, however its core gameplay and frugal price make it difficult to dismiss.

Reel Fishing Challenge:

“Reel Fishing Challenge has some issues and feels a bit shallow even as a digital download. Considering the price however, it isn’t a bad place to start for those curious of the genre.

First up, a HUGE thank you to Bethany for switching her work night from Wednesday to Tuesday. I really appreciate it!

Second, the reason Bethany switched work days is because today is Mom Brain’s birthday!

Mom Brain turns 27 today, and the podcast crew is heading out to have some dinner and fun. No worries, I’ll be back around 11 PM EST tonight, just as I would on a normal Bethany Wednesday.

Feel free to leave some birthday wishes for Mom B. in the comments below. I’m sure she’d be happy to see!
