A review of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon Review from 1up: I've been keeping my eyes open for Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon ever since its demo at Tokyo Game Show in 2008. Something about this Wii game's beautiful environments and enchanting premise really captured my imagination. You play as Seto, a 15-year-old boy who's all alone in a post-apocalyptic world until he sets off in search for other survivors like himself. The world is quiet and moody, filled with dilapidated ruins, abandoned trash, a...

A review of Bottling Lightning: Recording the Music of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from 1up: Bottling Lightning: Recording the Music of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Bad Company 2's audio team tells us how music can bloom on a Battlefield. By Alex Van Zelfden While it may not be too unfair to picture game development as a dreary building full of people hunched in front of computer monitors for months on end, the industry certainly has plenty of appealing aspects as well. Obviously weapon demonstrations are a blast; motion capture sessio...

A review of Wideload's Guilty Party: Showing That Not All Wii Party Games Are Crappy Minigame Collections from 1up: When you first hear Guilty Party's premise, you'll probably think of the classic board game Clue. It's a turn-based adventure where you piece together clues to figure out who committed some dastardly deed. The cast of selectable characters runs the gamut of pulp mystery clichés: the hard-boiled detective, sassy FBI agent, boy wonder, nosy grandmother, '70s undercover cop, and precocious teen girl. And trying ...

We did it guys, we finally did it. We managed to get all 12 songs correct during the music trivia section. Some might say that we got a little too much help for one of the tracks, but I still count it as a victory! I wonder if we can manage this two weeks in a row…

Download the show here (you big WiiBaby!)

Huge thanks to reader Scott for sending in pictures of his daughter, now known as the Wii Baby! Scott’s wife got their daughter all decked out in Wii threads for a Father’s Day picture. Can anyone guess what the dress is made out of?!

GameCube Wave Race Blue Storm

I’ve never played WaveRace: Blue Storm. I don’t know why I didn’t pick the game up. It must have had something to do with ‘funds’ at the time, as I was a huge fan of the original. Nintendo, help me out and re-release this for the Wii in the ‘New Play Control’ series!

A portion of a KeepCasual review..

The graphic style will definitely give older gamers that nostalgic feeling, while the Guitar-Hero-esque gameplay will make younger gamers feel right at home. Aside from how eye-bleedingly difficult the game can be, Bit.Trip Core delivers an insane amount of toe-tapping fun, and is one game that anyone can enjoy.

There are quite a few gamers out there that want nothing to do with motion controls. From the very first day that the Wii brought motion gaming onto the market, these gamers have kept their nose so upturned that they can barely see the motion control revolution that the entire industry is following. Why is it that these gamers seem to be sicked by the thought of moving about to play games?

A portion of an N-Philes review…

I want to like this game, but unnecessarily frustrating controls overshadow fun, if not simple, puzzle solving. And I know the DS’ controls are capable of more than this. There’s some motivation to play this until the end just to fight a few cool bosses and solve puzzles, but most players will end up quitting about halfway through.

I can’t stop laughing at the title ‘Horse’s Life’, and I’m sure you know why. Yes, my mind is in the gutter. I have to make sure I call GameStop just to try and reserve that one. Should be fun conversation to have over the phone!

Thanks to TheGame for the heads up!
