A feature on Mario's Super Inferno (Super Mario Galaxy 2) from Games Radar: Screw the haters! The Dante's Inferno Super Bowl ad was the greatest marketing move of all time. Of course, most of that had to do with the sweet serenade provided by Soul Deity, Bill Withers! So why the hell wouldn’t it work for Mario? ... Go to Source ...

A feature on Gaming's famous moustached men: shaved (Super Mario Galaxy) from Games Radar: What links all great men through history? The insatiable pursuit of power? An unwillingness to compromise? Snappy dress sense? Nah, it’s a good old tache, of course. Inspired by the recent clean shaven antics of Final Fantasy big cheese Hironobu Sakaguchi and Adolf Hitler, we’ve decided to shave the soup strainers off some of our favourite games characters.Warning: the following images may shock and appal ... A feature on Zelda cosplay goes high fashion (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Virtual Console) from Games Radar: Sometimes cosplay can be embarassing and degrading to the person involved. Thcostume is a pale imitation, their 'helmet' is made out of tinfoil and teaspoons, their make up drawn on by a blindfolded gibbon. But not always. Some cosplay is incredible. It's like a game character has crawled out of the TV screen and inhabited the REAL WORLD.  Like this downright classy, high-fashion Zelda cosplay... ... Go to Source ...

A feature on TV ads that steal from games (Super Mario Galaxy) from Games Radar: So there we are on a Tuesday evening, watching the TV, when the commercial break comes on. Advert for Insurance. Advert for baby milk. Advert for some shit movie we're never going to watch. Advert for cheaper gas. Advert for... hang on a sec. That advert for gas was a rip off of the Super Mario Galaxy planets! That's what started it off. And now we've spotted a bunch of other ads which robbed from games. ... Go to Source ...

This new information comes from the most recent build of the game, which was made available for those that attended EVO 2009. The summary below comes from someone that had hands-on with the game at EVO.

“UNIVERSAL CHANGES
Throws are useful now (RoyalFlush/ll.nd)
Characters fall faster now.
Megacrash pushes up and away.
Megacrash combos are very limited due to the engine changes. (RoyalFlush/ll.nd)

RYU
Hurricane Kick (C) no longer combos after wall bounce. B version still works.
Ryu appears to have been left alone for the most part. I notice no functional differences.

MORRIGAN
Stronger normals and LVL3.
Moriggan’s dashing 2B infinite no longer works.

“Right now, we are focused on bringing Scribblenauts to the DS. We designed the game specifically for this system because we want it to be fun for all types of gamers—and the touch screen and stylus makes it easy and intuitive for anyone to pick up and play. If we look at other systems, it won’t be for a while.” – Jeremiah Slaczka, 5th Cell

I’m really hoping that Scribblenauts is a success, because I’d like to see the series expand to consoles. WiiWare, Wii…doesn’t matter to me!

The game is being played via PC, and the framerate isn’t correct, but you can at least see what the graphics look like.

A portion of a GhostStorm interview with producer Kevin Maitreheu…

GS: What next from Neko?

KM: We have a lot on our plate right now and we have a lot of games coming out this year. We are currently putting the finishing touch on new Cocoto titles for the Wii. Cocoto Festival is the sequel to Cocoto Magic Circus and Cocoto Surprise is the first game using our new in-house game engine, with a gameplay based on solid and fluid physic. We are also working on a game for DsiWare that uses the features of the DSi in a way no other game has ever done.

SEGA may not be as big as it used to, but it sure seems like they’re trying to be. I don’t think they’ll ever make a new game console, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t dominate the software market. They’ve surely shown their dedication to the Wii, as well as the other platforms. The heart and dedication is there, but is the quality?
