SoulSilver or HeartGold…which is the right game for you? What are the big differences between the two? Is one game better for the newcomer to Pokemon than the other? I am ashamed to say that I have this title, yet I can’t find the time to pour more than about 15 minutes into it. I really do want to get into it, but it seems like most people just passed this title up. If you do have it, what did you think of the game? Too many rabbids for your liking?

The following information comes from a GDC panel hosted by EEDAR president Geoffrey Zatkin…
- new IP releases have increased over the last 3 years
- in 2009, 22% of games were new IP
- 27% of Wii software was new IP, while 17% were new IP on 360/PS3
- certain genres see fewer new IP
- most new IP on Wii tends to be E-rated
- most new IP on 360/PS3 tend to be T to M rated
- 37% of new IP were released in the holiday season of 2009
