WiiNintendo posted:
A recent report shows that video game sales have declined by 8% over the year of 2009 in the top global markets.
While Japan only suffered a 2% decline, software sales in the United States dropped by 7% and are down by a staggering 14% in the United Kingdom.
The report shows that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as expected, was the top-selling game of 2009. Surprisingly, however, Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus (combined) came in a close second, only 800k units short of Warfare’s 12 million.
