A portion of an N-Philes review…
This isn’t a movie I’d recommend, not even as something you have to see to appreciate how terrible it is. I’d be pressed to recommend seeing it in any fashion. I can almost commend the attempt at a different take on video games in movies. Almost.

Do you see those numbers for Wii Sports Resort? The game is getting close pulling in over 1 million hours played. Have you helped contribute to that?! Thanks to CoffeewithChess for the heads up!

People are still cranking away on the KORG DS-10, preparing for the 10 Plus to hit the states. Check out this original creation called ‘Something Sonic’.

Yet another trailer for Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. The more I see this, the more I want it to get released in the states! The Animal Crossing never made it here (officially), but perhaps this will have a chance. Click here to check it out (thanks FORALEC!)

A portion of a WorthPlaying review…
You could definitely pass up C.O.R.E., and while I like the idea of someone at least trying to put out a genre title that doesn’t typically get made on the NDS, I also feel that C.O.R.E. is an example of why FPSes don’t make the transition well to the DS. You could rent it to see if the controls click for you, since I’ll freely admit that the issues I have with the game come entirely from that, but the overall presentation is still pretty poor and certainly not up to snuff with other titles on the system.

Check out this GameSpot blurb that comes from the PAX panel that Harmonix held, concerning Rock Band Network…
While the lead SKU for this program is the Xbox 360, they’re hard at work on getting it to work for the PlayStation 3 and the Wii, though they sounded much more optimistic about getting it working on Sony’s console than Nintendo’s.
It sounds like Harmonix at least wants to bring this idea to Wii, but I’m sure that some of Nintendo’s policies are holding them back. I wouldn’t hold out too much hope on this one, but at least there’s hope to begin with!

Capcom has opened up official Twitter pages for Claire and Leon, and now Steve Burnside may be the latest addition. I don’t know whether this is Capcom official or not, so be careful when reading. The real question is…are any of you guys actually following these Twitter accounts?!

Today must be the day where people try to figure out if brain games really work or not. It must be the the holiday here in the states…people get all that free time, and they start contemplating all sorts of things! It really makes you wonder…if brain games don’t help you get any smarter or retain more knowledge, does thinking about brain games in that way actually stretch your mind!?
