We’ve been doing shows lately that focus a lot more on what we’ve been playing than the weekly news. Some people enjoy that, while others liked the old format. What would you guys like to hear? More news, more weekly games played, or a nice mix of both?

I absolutely love hardcore SEGA fans. Why is that, you ask? Because they’re absolutely insane…just like Nintendo fans.
Some intense snooping has been going on to find out just who has registered SonictheHedgehog4.com, and it brings us a huge amount of information to go over. Thankfully, that detective work has already been done for us! The end result points to a registration from Brandon Laurino, who just so happens to be Sega’s Community and Online Director. If SEGA really is going to go with this name for Project Needlemouse, they better be ready to bring out something amazing.

Check out this blurb from the latest issue of Famitsu…
“SEGA also mentioned the chance of one of the three hardware makers financing the game’s production in exchange for an exclusivity deal. Let’s see if Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony are interested.”
Wouldn’t it be great to see Nintendo fund this project? It seems like something that Nintendo and SEGA could really make work. I’ll keep my toes crossed for this one. I want it to happen, but I just don’t think it will!

See that logo portion that has been circled in the image above? Could this be related to the new Pokemon game that Mr. Iwata just confirmed a few days back? We might find out on next week’s Pokemon Sunday, which will see a special guest appearance from Gamefreak director Junichi Masuda. Sounds like an episode to keep an eye out for! Thanks to Norman for the heads up!

Well, this is a bit of a sad story to report. Koch has closed down Deep Silver Vienna, which just so happened to be the developer behind Cursed Mountain. What makes things even worse? Cursed Mountain was the very first game from Deep Silver Vienna. Koch stated financial issues as the reason for the closure of the studio.
It’s a real shame, because the developer’s first game was actually quite an impressive one.

A portion of a WiiLoveIt interview with Fugazo’s Andrew Lum…
WLI: Does the DSiWare service appeal to you in any way, from a marketing perspecive? Do you think Frobot would be a good fit for that platform?
AL: If we were to make Frobot for a portable console I think we would do a traditional retail DS release instead of a DSiWare. However, since the tech is so different for DS than Wii, it’s pretty unlikely that Frobot will make it onto Nintendo’s portable console.
WLI: Have you given any thoughts to what other project you might undertake next?
AL: We have too many ideas here at Fugazo. If Frobot does well we definitely plan on making another WiiWare game though!
